First biodiesel pump in SW suburbs
StarOilco announced in September that they have launched the first B99 cardlock pump in Tigard.
This fuel produces 78 percent less carbon dioxide than petroleum diesel and is locally produced by SeQuential Pacific Biodiesel in Salem. The new B99 pump is located at 8185 SW Hunziker.
Biodiesel, a cleaner burning diesel fuel made from vegetable oil, works in any diesel application. It is the ultimate flexible fuel. One can switch back and forth between biodiesel and petroleum diesel whenever necessary. Also, you can blend biodiesel with petroleum diesel in any percentage.
StarOilco is located in NE Portland and offered the first biodiesel fueling station anywhere in the city at their Linnton Shell station. Including the new Tigard B99 pump, StarOilco and SeQuential Biofuels provide B99 to five fueling locations and have B20 at two cardlock locations in the Portland metropolitan area.
Biodiesel will help us reduce our dependence on foreign oil, consume energy that is clean and renewable and help local farmers with a new market for their products.
Any individual may have access to the unattended cardlock locations for diesel and/or biodiesel fuel. For more information on how to access the StarOilco cardlock facilities, please contact Theresa Emery at (503) 283-1256 or (503) 347-6378.
